For the 5^th edition of the annual exhibition Monumenta, the French ministry of culture and communication invited Daniel Buren to honor the overwhelming space and glass hall of the Grand Palais in Paris. Daniel Buren is one of France’s most internationally renowned and honored artists.

His kaleidoscopic work is an interactive space within the hall to celebrate the beautiful glass architecture and history of the space. Colorful circular discs made of minimalistic materials create a walkway for visitors to pass beneath, so they actually become part of the artwork. The glass hall’s light cuts through the circles and creates beautiful shadows on the floor.
